All of my bath and body products are handcrafted using clean, nourishing, and organic ingredients to heal the body and soul.
My soaps are handmade in small batches using the cold-processed method. They are made by combining pure and organic oils and butters with sodium hydroxide (lye), distilled water, herbs, and clays for color and healing benefits, and essential oils for a natural aroma and their healing benefits. When mixed together, these ingredients cause a chemical reaction called saponification which results in a small amount of glycerin mixed in. Glycerin is a humectant which helps to draw moisture into the skin. The soap is then poured into a mold and set aside for 24-48 hours. Once cured, the soap is then hand cut and set aside again to go through a curing process for 4-6 weeks before it becomes a hard bar.
Big brand soap makers will remove the glycerin from the soap and add salt to the mix in order to speed up the hardening process. Then they add preservatives and foaming agents and other toxic chemicals for a harder bar and quicker turnaround. Have you ever looked at all of the ingredients in a bar of soap? All those toxic ingredients they add are NOT for your benefit and DO cause health problems.
My mission is to make bath and body products using clean, pure, and organic ingredients. They will NEVER contain harmful ingredients like synthetic fragrances, perfumes, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, mineral oil, synthetics, nanoparticles, silicon and GMOs and any of the long list of cancer-causing chemicals.
If we know better, we have to do better.
1. Store your soap in a cool, dry, preferably dark area. Avoid direct light, excessive heat, and humidity.
2. Store soaps made with essential oils in a container, such as a carboard soap box to preserve its scent.
3. Dry soap lasts longer! Once you use your soap, make sure it gets air so it can dry between use.
4. Soap holders that drain the soap are best for drying out your soap.
